They said that Ienzo had no family- but that wasn't strictly true. He had a little family around; specifically a older brother. Also calm and mature beyond his years, he lacked the preternatural intelligence that brought Ienzo to the Garden's attention, so when the young boy was brought and adopted into the company of apprentice ship, his brother was left to fend for himself in the streets.
Not that Isa didn't go above and beyond the call of brotherhood to occasionally sneak into the castle to see his tiny sibling, and Ienzo, in time got quite good at slipping the leash of his adoptive family to come into town to do the same.
It was a pity that such a close brother hood couldn't last.
